Our 3rd Dragonfly Ball will be held on Saturday 7th September 2013 at Close House
After two very successful Balls at No. 19, Close House and with an early sell out for our 2012 Dragonfly Ball, we felt it was time to grow the event. Whilst we will aim to keep the intimacy of past events, this year we will be catering for 350 people in a Grand Marquee.
With 80% of the tables already booked and with a reputation for fantastic food and wonderful entertainment, we expect this year to be as fun and memorable as always. We are looking forward to the continued support of almost all our past attendees as well as many more who have come to know and love Josie’s Dragonfly Trust and want to make a difference to the valuable support the charity offers to children and young people with terminal cancer.
This years event has very kindly been sponsored by Kids First Children’s Nurseries. a wonderful group of caring children’s pre-school nurseries who take pride in supporting the community and have offered us fundraising support throughout the year.

If you have missed the Dragonfly Ball in the past, please don’t delay in booking as tables are selling fast. (tables of 10′s or 12′s )
Close House is an absolutely beautiful Hotel amid stunning grounds and set in the heart of the Tyne Valley, Nothumberland. It is well worth traveling to for a fantastic evening and a lovely weekend break.
Tickets are 75.00 each and Tables seat 10 or 12 contact ball@josiesdragonfly.org
Our 2013 Ball will still be at Close House but due to the high demand this year will be a much bigger event!
Our 2012 ball was a huge success and thanks to many generous contributions from both individuals and businesses, alongside the hard work of our ball committee it raised over £17,000 with only 100 attendees.
You can see from the pictures below that everyone has an absolutely fantastic time at the Dragonfly Balls and we are delighted to be doing it all over again this year only bigger and better!
Paul Pashley will be joining us for the second time and with the additional space we are delighted that he will be bringing along his Big Band to make the evening even more spectacular.
“It was fantastic, we thoroughly enjoyed the whole evening. The food and entertainment was exceptional and we can’t wait until the next one!”
