As you can see this month we have started to re-vamp the website We are planning a few changes over the year so please visit again to see what's new.

In 2009 we gave 67 Cash Gifts to Children and young people where cancer treatment is no longer curative. With more hospitals on board this year we are expecting many more.
Please support us in 2010 so we can bring a smile to young people with cancer at this terrible point in their lives.

We are thrilled that the 15 places we were allocated for the Great North Run have almost all been taken without us even having to ask anyone. If you are interested let us know we are hoping to buy unfilled places from other charities.

We celebrated Valentines Day on the 14th and our dragonfly Heart Locket proved to be a popular gift.

February 26th was a very special day for us as it marked the 3rd anniversary of Josie's Death.
Josies mum raised over £2,500.00 by zip sliding from the 56th floor of the Pataya Tower to raise funds in Josie's memory.

Sunday 14th was Mothers Day. And as before we sent many special dragonfly gifts out to mums along with your personalized cards.

We had all our places filled for the great North Run in Sep. and a team of 5 have been signed up for the great South run in October.

April 5th we celebrated Josie's Birthday with the addition of a stunning new gold pendant and earrings to our dragonfly collection.

We were also very excited about our beautiful new 3 in 1 shawls which have been specially commissioned.

This month we had several fundraisers either running around the country or jumping out of airplanes and off buildings!

Thank you to KatySuedesigns for donating a pallet load of goods to our base in Hexham to help fill the boxes of Arts & Crafts we send out to the children's Cancer wards & TCU's

In April we gave out another 9 Cash Gifts to children who are no longer considered curative.This helps them and their families make some special memories together.

(The 33 cash gifts in 2010 already exceeds those given in our first year)

This month we will sending out the information for our 3rd annual Dragonfly Colouring Competition.
Entries from Children's Cancer Wards will be used for the 2011 Calendar and we are running a new competition on the teenage units to add to our greeting card collection.

We are also very excited about our beautiful new 3 in 1 shawls which have been specially commissioned to celebrate our 3rd charity year.

In fine crepe chiffon they make gorgeous summer beach sarongs and perfect shawls for chilly evenings and scrunch up to be worn as lovely warm scarves.

In May we have given another 8 Cash Gifts.
Totalling 41 this year

20th June is Fathers Day.

Josie's Dragonfly Beer will be on sale at the Tynedale Beer Festival again this year to remind everyone about the charity.Kindly sponsored by Access Wealth Management.

We are also shipping out the boxes of Arts & Crafts to All the Children's Cancer specialist Hospitals & Teenage Cancer Units this month.

In July we are planning to RE-OPEN our lovely jewellery shop in Hexham as the all new
DRAGONFLY SHOP
It will be totally devoted to Josie's Dragonfly selling all kinds of Dragonfly items and gift wear with all profits donated to Josie's Dragonfly Trust.

We are also holding the first of what we hope will be an annual Art Auction. Pictures can be viewed between 1st-12th at the Hexham Cinema,in the market place. Bids will be taken over the 2 week period.
We will have an auction page on the dragonfly Store where you can see current bids.

Our second shipment of Arts & Crafts is due to be sent out to all the Children's and Teenage Cancer units across the UK this month.

The Great North Run will be a big event for us on the 19th. It starts just outside the RVI where Josie had much of her treatment. Let us know if you would like to take part.
