Josie’s Dragonfly Trust , Special pendant, jewellery and gifts to support children with cancer

In order to make the £500 CASH GIFT available to all eligible children in the Childrens Cancer Specialist Hospitals and Young Peoples/Teenage Units right across the UK we are ultimately need to raise arround £300,000 per year. 

In 2011 we are hoping to give up to 150 Cash gifts (We gave 100 in 2010)To do this we on top of giving the Arts & Craft boxes twice a year, we need to raise a huge amount of money.

The charity relies heavily on donations and fundraising support. We currently support just over half the UK Cancer specialist Hospitals and get arround 3 or 4 Cash Gift requests a week via their Clic Sargent and Macmillan social workers.

We would love to be in a position to support all children and young people where cancer treatment is no longer considered curative ...estimated to be 600 a year.

Gift Aid

If you are a UK Tax payer we can claim an additional 28% on top of your donation. This comes out of the income tax that you would otherwize pay to the government.
When you make an online donation through JUSTGIVING they claim this automatically for us. If you are sending a cheque please state that you wish us to claim gift Aid on the donation and include your full name and address.

Regular Giving
A monthly pledge or a regular gift to the charity means we will be safe in the knowledge that we have the funding there to rely on. A monthly gift of £5 can be easily set up either Through JUSTGIVING or by setting up a direct debit and would help enormously. For every 9 people donating £5 a month we know that we can make a difference to the last days or weeks of a child and give precious, lasting memories to their families.

Payroll Giving
If you wish to help on a regular basis Payroll Giving may be ideal for you. It allows you to donate by a direct deduction from your salary. This is a very tax effective method of giving as the charity receives your donation and the tax you would have paid on this amount is added on by the government.
