Volunteer

Volunteers are the life blood of the Trust

Whether you are sending out our thank you letters, collecting at one of our collections, bag packing, delivering talks or counting money, we could not operate without people like you giving your time.

If you can’t volunteer in the office but feel you would like to help, why not think about doing some valuable work from home? We need people to do research and this could be just what you are looking for.

Remember we work with hospitals across the United Kingdom and need volunteers to help in all corners of the country. Fancy leading the way?

Become a Charity Ambassador

We are looking for ambassadors to work in their local community to raise awareness and funds to support the work of Josie’s Dragonfly Trust. We are looking for volunteers from different parts of the country to help arrange and conduct talks to local community groups, schools and businesses, distributing collection tins, badges and information about the Trust. You need to be a good talker and feel comfortable and able to stand in front of audiences of different ages to harness their support.

Become a Digital Ambassador

If you are a whizz on social media, or have your own YouTube channel or blog, there are lots of simple ways that you can make a huge impact on the work that we do. Sharing our content to your followers, or featuring the Trust on your blog or vlog will really help to highlight Josie’s Dragonfly Trust to a wider audience and ensure the charity remains visible online.

Junior Dragonflies

If you are at school or college and want experience of voluntary work, please get in touch. We have a team of Junior Dragonflies who make a huge difference and free up a log of our time to enable us to generate income. Many of our volunteers use their time with us towards their Duke of Edinburgh Award and towards that all important university application. We have a team of Sixth Form volunteers who come in after school from Queen Elizabeth High School, local to our offices. But even if you attend a school or collage in another area, there are plenty of things you can do to get involved.

You can volunteer anything from a few hours to two days a week…

We really value any contribution you make, your time and skills could be just what we need.

We want you to enjoy volunteering and there are lots of ways to get involved. Whatever role you choose, you will make a real difference to the work that we do.

If you would like to volunteer for Josie’s Dragonfly Trust, please complete the form below and we will be in touch.

Lend a hand when you can

You can make a huge difference by giving up a few hours of your time either during the week, or at the weekend. We will be holding collections and bag packs throughout the year and need your help to make them a success. Register your interest below and we will be in touch when we need help in your area.

Tins & Badges

A little time here and there is all it takes to reap the benefits from our collection tins and dragonfly pin badges. We need friendly people like you to ask your local pub, shop or cafe to display a collection tin or box of badges. All you need to do is keep in touch with them to monitor how things are going. Not only do our collection tins and badges raise vital funds, they also play a crucial role in raising awareness of the Trust in new areas of the country.
